Hi there everyone,
I’ve been spending a lot of time trying out new digital products and programs that help beginners learn piano. I want the best for my students and my readers – and so I spend time and money to make sure you guys get the best of the best.
And with that said, my favorite choice as of late has got to be RocketPiano.com simply because the price is much less than the other courses out there and the guides are high-quality geared for the new piano player. If you’re not new to piano, then Rocket Piano might not be the best thing for you.
I still continue to enjoy Rocket Piano because I find myself going through the intermediate and advanced book quite often. Sure, it might bore a few of you pros out there, but for anyone that’s looking to get started or hoping to get over that hump that we tend to experience, then I recommend this course.
Should You Learn Music Theory First?
This is a question I’m asked quite often from beginners and I notice a lot of instructors out there try to cover this in the beginning. I personally don’t because I think it’s important that new piano players get their fingers on the keys making music right off the bat. This will only motivate you further to play since creating music for the first time is a wonderful feeling.
I think it’s best that students first learn the notes of the major scale. But after that, it’s onto the chords and playing songs. I want you playing tunes from bands like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, Tom Petty, The Eagles, etc. because this will make you want to continue playing while keeping theory learning to a minimum. There’s time for all that later.
RocketPiano.com recently added a really cool addition to their program called Song Pond. It’s basically a music site that’s all about learning songs from musical artists with step-by-step videos and lessons showing you exactly how to play the song. If you’re into learning songs, then I think you’ll find it to be pretty cool.
Alright well that’s enough talk about Rocket Piano. No matter what you do to learn piano, remember that it’s important that you make it a habit to play at least once per day even if it’s only for 5 minutes. This alone will improve you playing, chart reading, chord building, speed, etc.
Talk to ya’ll soon,
Eddy
Hey there, it’s been awhile since I’ve written anything here on the blog. Today I wanted to talk about learning piano software and why I think they can work very well to help you master the instrument. As you know, my program of choice is Rocket Piano as I believe it’s one of the better ones on the market and I continue to learn from it to this day.
With the advent of the internet, it’s no surprise at all that individuals are taking their piano lessons online and using computers to teach themselves how to play. I think it’s definitely a great idea to take action and do what you can to improve your playing skills.
No Need to Buy Beginner Piano Books
What I have enjoyed about piano learning software is that you can simply purchase it online and have it downloaded to your computer and be using the program that very same day. It’s quite amazing when you think about it since just a decade or two ago you would have to buy books and hire teachers and spend loads more money to get a real piano education.
Learning Piano is No Longer Expensive
And that brings me to my second point. Instead of traveling to the music studio so you cans it down with a professional teacher, you can have access to online piano lessons through the creation of products like Rocket Piano. This one in particular has been created by a team of professional piano players with the hopes of increasing the popularity of the musical instrument and making it easier for people to learn right in their own homes.
I have always encouraged individuals to practice learning on their own. But this can also be a bad idea because bad habits are developed this way. So, the simple solution is to not go in blind. You should have an great learning piano software that will show you the basics you need to play the piano like a champion.

Hi there and thanks for checking out my site about piano software. Lately, I’ve been taking the time to talk about various methods that you piano players can do to improve your skills and learn faster and more efficiently. Today, I’m going to be talking a little more about how you can learn piano easy by choosing software that does work well.
As you can see the picture to the left, Rocket Piano is a system that I am currently recommending for people to try. I have found it to be a very good way to learn songs and piano chords because it does everything so well and it’s an easy to follow course.
Now I recently wrote on my blog about piano creativity and why it’s important for you to tap into your creative side whenever you want to learn how to do things your own way. And this is very important especially for musicians. I think it is very important for you to develop your own way of learning which means by practicing songs from Rocket Piano, learning scales, chords, warm-ups, etc. and then developing your own lessons in the long run.
Doing this will very much help you in your piano playing career and you will notice massive improvements in your learning because instead of following an exact plan of action that everyone else seems to be doing, you will be developing and implementing your own skills that you have created which will greatly increase your learning of the piano.
Trust me on this as you don’t want to be doing the same thing everyone else is doing. Now I do believe that getting piano software like Rocket Piano is a great way to teach yourself how to play, but I don’t think it should be the only thing you focus on. You should also be playing your own songs and practicing what you want to practice on your own time.
Getting too caught up in a course isn’t the best method for learning to play piano. What I recommend you do for now is if you are teaching yourself how to play, then pick up Rocket Piano, go through the course as well as you can, and then pick some pieces from the software and start developing your own practice routine. I promise you that by doing this, you will learn much faster and quicker than 99% of the piano players out there.

I feel like writing a new post today about creative ways to learn piano. I feel that this may be something that some piano players, whether beginner or veteran, can benefit from reading. Some of us are always searching for ways to fire up our creative side in order to make learning much more fun and I feel that this post may be something that will interest all of you out there.
I know that I have been talking about how learning piano songs may be the best way to learn piano. Perhaps you’ve already picked up some learn piano software as well. Nonetheless, being creative is in fact a skill and it does take time to develop. Some people simply aren’t as creative as others in life and this can definitely affect the way you learn piano.
One of my beginner piano tips were about setting goals for yourself. To me, this is very important because setting goals can drastically change the way and speed that you improve your piano playing. So, with that in mind, make it one of your goals to think creatively. Sit down with yourself, grab a pen and paper, and start thinking of ways to be more creative.
It doesn’t have to be about piano, it can be about anything in general. Just having the ability to think outside of the box can help you with everything in life. This is the same with piano and it is something that successful people in general have in common.
I wasn’t always an outside of the box thinker. I remember back in the days when I was learning piano that I would try to learn the same way and the same things that everyone else was doing. I was buying courses and trying to teach myself and occasionally I was hiring professionals. And if you’ve been reading my blog, you know I struggled a great deal on my piano adventure.
So, I simply decided that the best way for me to learn was to see what everyone else was doing and develop my own way of learning from that. I combined things I learned from certain books, certain videos, what professionals taught me, and what certain courses were doing. I then created my own guideline and practice exercises for me to play.
Before I knew it, I basically had my own entire piano playing course for me to follow day by day. And I believe by doing this, I was being creative in developing my own strategy to learn. This is exactly what you need to do if you hope to succeed with learning the piano.
Here is an excerpt from Wikipedia about creativity:
Creativity is a mental process involving the discovery of new ideas or concepts, or new associations of the existing ideas or concepts, fueled by the process of either conscious or unconscious insight…Although popularly associated with art and literature, it is also an essential part of innovation and invention…
You’re not reinventing the wheel, but you’re creating new ways for you to learn by taking what’s already out there and developing your own guidelines to follow.

Eddy
